What would be a better way to spend Saint Patrick’s Day than watching a full day of musical performances (including Elise Testone) oceanfront in Myrtle Beach?

Check out the 5th Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Festival and Celebration along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. Featuring live music, great food, an awesome Kidz Zone and exciting Midway carnival rides, the Saint Patrick’s Day Festival at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is an exciting event for all ages. It’s a great day for everyone to be Irish, and visitors and locals alike come together in the many shades of green to celebrate Irish American culture. Although if you really are Irish, don’t forget to bring some sunscreen.

Elise Testone will perform at the 5th annual Myrtle Beach Saint Patrick's Day Festival

The annual festival will host ten different musical performances, beginning at noon. The lineup includes Gravy and the Asheville Horns, Bullfrog, Paul Grimshaw Band, Ben Fagan and the Holy City Hooligans, Mike O’Donnel and more. Elise Testone will take the stage at 9:30 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for purchase in designated areas around the festival.

There will be plenty of fun, games, and activities for the entire family. New this year, and probably the festival’s biggest attraction for the little ones, are the Midway Carnival Rides: The Mega Obstacle Course, Jurassic Adventure, Turbo Tubs, Musical Chair Swings, TC’s Choppers, Rapid Slide and The Tempest. Kids are sure to find just as much entertainment and enjoyment as their parents.

The fun takes place Saturday, March 15 from noon to midnight at the former Myrtle Beach Pavilion property. Located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues North at Plyler Park, the area will be filled with strolling entertainers. Ocean Boulevard will be closed to traffic from Eighth Avenue North to Mr. Joe White Avenue from 1 a.m. March 15 to 4 a.m. on March 16.

Special Olympics of South Carolina

A portion of the proceeds from this event benefits the Special Olympics of South Carolina, which provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Your participation helps to provide them with opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
