National Retired Military Golf Classic (NRMGC)

Registration: May 29, 2018
Tournament: May 30 – June 2, 2018

The 35th Annual National Retired Military Golf Classic will be held in Myrtle Beach, SC.  The Classic will be played on Burning Ridge, Myrtle Beach National (South Creek & West), Myrtlewood – Palmetto, Pine Lakes, Wild Wing and World Tour.  Only 880 men and 128 women will be accepted for this event, which is the largest retired military event in the world.  The men’s tournament in Myrtle Beach will consist of 72 holes while the women will utilize a 54-hole competition with the courses and foursomes rotated each day. Preseason Classic

Tournament: January 29 – February 1, 2017

The Myrtle Beach Preseason Classic is teeing off its 3rd year in fashion with six great Myrtle Beach layouts. This 54 hole, two-person golf tournament will be a challenging, fun and memorable event for all of the participants. Flight prizes, random drawings, on course contests and great golf camaraderie await players from all over the globe in beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC. March Championship

Tournament: March 4 – 7, 2017

Throughout the past 32 years, over 70,000 people have come to Myrtle Beach, SC the week before Labor Day to play in the World’s Largest amateur golf tournament, the Myrtle Beach World Amateur. Now, for the first time, you can enjoy the same format over 54 holes at the beginning of March! The newly minted Myrtle Beach March Championship will be a 3 day individual, net stroke play golf tournament played on great Grand Strand layouts. Flights will be determined by USGA Handicap index to give everyone a chance to win, and there will be over $10,000 in prizes handed out to top finishers in each flight and on-course contest winners. In addition to the golf, there will be a few off-course functions to give everyone time to mingle, meet some new friends or catch up with ones you’ve met throughout the years in another Myrtle Beach event. Veteran’s Golf Classic

Tournament: June 4 – 7, 2017

Military Veterans, active Military personnel and their families from across the country come together in Myrtle Beach for fun, great golf and camaraderie. This three-round team tournament features a different format each day and is decided based on the combined team handicap. Myrtle Beach World Amateur Handicap Championship

Tournament: August 28 – September 1, 2017

Now in its 34th year, the World Amateur allows everyone from scratch golfers to 30+ handicappers to test their nerves and competitive resolve. More than 3,000 players flock to Myrtle Beach to play in this 72-hole event. The amateur participants, who come from all 50 states and more than 25 countries, are placed in tightly grouped flights based on age, gender and handicap. The game’s most sophisticated handicap system levels the playing field in an equitable way, and is the backbone of the event’s 30+ years of success. The tournament’s pulse is the World’s Largest 19th Hole, the nightly party at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center where free food, drinks and entertainment are provided. Learn more

On September 11, 2001, deadly terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon, and Pennsylvania resulted in the deaths of over 3,000 Americans. Since then, over 5,000 servicemen and women have been killed combating terrorism all over the world. The VGA’s Battle at the Beach golf tournament pays tribute to the sacrifices of these brave Americans, both those that have given their lives, and those that continue to protect our way of life.
