Hi, my name is Mugsy.

I’m the unofficial Director of Pets here at the Ocean Park Resort.

I am a 10-year old “Min Pin.”

I love to play with loofa toys, eat Dingo bones, take naps and walk on the beach.  I’m here to tell you about the pet policies and amenities at the Ocean Park Resort.

I enjoy having my fellow pets stay with us,

but we do have a few rules here that we have to follow:

  • We only allow 1 pet per room.
  • Pets must weight less than 20 lbs or be less than 14 inches high.
  • We do not allow aggressive breeds (the following are what we consider aggressive breeds: Rottweilers, Pit-bulls,  Dobermans, Boxers, German Shepherds, and Chows).
  • Sorry, at this time, cats are not accepted at Ocean Park Resort.
  • NO pets are allowed in or at the pool areas.
  • Pets have to be crated when the guests are out of the unit, if the pet is not crated then Housekeeping Service will NOT be provided. The housekeepers don’t like us running around while they are trying to clean the rooms. We also don’t want the housekeepers to let us out when they open the door.
  • Dogs MUST be on a leash in all public areas!
  • Any damage done to the room because of the pet will result in a $200.00 damage charge. I hope we are all good pets and this does not happen.
  • The Pet Fee is $15.00 per night. We even register your pet as a guest of the hotel!

*Any exceptions to the above policies need to be approved by management and additional fees may apply.

We have a pet potty area on the first floor parking deck of the hotel that is stocked with doggie bags.  We have recently renovated our pet area with anti-bacterial synthetic grass, doggies really like it! We also have a park next
door and a parking lot across the street. I personally like to go to the parking lot across the street.  The third bush on the right side is my favorite.

The hotel provides door hangers to let other guests and hotel staff know that one of us is in the room. The front desk knows all the cool dog hangouts too. They can tell you which shopping areas allow pets, where the dog parks are, where the vet is (ugh) and how to get to the grocery store to buy us treats!
