Everything below is the current policy at our four oceanfront Myrtle Beach resorts. Where the resorts differ, we say so rather than giving you an average — and each resort’s own policies page is always the version that governs your reservation.
Is Oceana Resorts all-inclusive?
No. Oceana Resorts is not an all-inclusive brand — meals, drinks and activities are not built into the room rate. What is included, at every one of our four resorts, is the Book Direct Privileges package: over $100 in attraction tickets through the Myrtle Beach Seasonal Fun Pass, the Privileges Discount Card worth over $500 in local savings, kids 17 and under staying free with a parent or guardian, our Best Rate Guarantee and our Vacation Protection Plan. Carolinian Beach Resort adds free daily breakfast for two at Azure, two blocks away at The Patricia Grand.
How many resorts are in the Oceana Resorts collection?
Four, all oceanfront in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: Anderson Ocean Club and Spa, Carolinian Beach Resort, Ocean Park Resort, and The Patricia Grand.
Which Oceana resort is dog-friendly?
Ocean Park Resort is our dog-friendly resort, with small dogs welcome in select pet-friendly rooms on designated floors, plus an on-site dog groomer. The Patricia Grand also has select pet-friendly rooms. Anderson Ocean Club and Spa and Carolinian Beach Resort do not permit pets. ADA service animals are always welcome at all four resorts.
What does it cost to bring a dog, and are there size limits?
At Ocean Park Resort the pet fee is $25 per day, per pet, with a 40 lb. weight limit. At The Patricia Grand it is $35 per day, per pet, with a 20 lb. weight limit. Both resorts allow a maximum of two dogs per room, are dogs-only, require advance notice, and have breed restrictions. Fees are collected at the front desk at check-in. Check the resort’s own policies page before you book.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is any time before 10:00 a.m. at all four resorts.
What deposit is required, and can I cancel?
An advance deposit equal to the first night is due when you book, with the balance payable at check-in. At Carolinian Beach Resort, Ocean Park Resort and The Patricia Grand, your deposit is refundable if you cancel at least 7 days before arrival, and a $50 administrative fee applies to each cancellation; cancelling inside 7 days or not showing up forfeits the deposit. Anderson Ocean Club and Spa takes a deposit of one night plus taxes and fees. Cancellation terms are on each resort’s policies page, and they are the version that governs your reservation.
Is parking free?
Yes, guest parking is free at all four resorts, though the arrangement differs. Ocean Park Resort has a two-level lot directly in front of the resort, one pass per bedroom. Carolinian Beach Resort uses the garage on Withers Drive one block back — one pass for one-bedroom suites and smaller, two for two-bedroom and larger. The Patricia Grand uses the garage across the street, one pass per room. Anderson Ocean Club parks in the garage across the street, one block away, with valet available for $30 per day. Trailers are not permitted at any of them.
Do kids stay free?
Children 17 and under stay free with a parent or guardian when you book direct. That covers the room — meals are not included, apart from the free daily breakfast for two that comes with a direct booking at Carolinian Beach Resort.
Is there daily housekeeping?
It depends on the resort. Carolinian Beach Resort, Ocean Park Resort and The Patricia Grand are limited-service properties, so daily housekeeping is not provided. Anderson Ocean Club and Spa cleans rooms before arrival and performs a full-service clean every third night on stays of five nights or longer.
Is there a minimum age to check in?
At Carolinian Beach Resort, Ocean Park Resort and The Patricia Grand, guests under 21 are not admitted unless accompanied by an adult. At Anderson Ocean Club and Spa the age is 25, and the guest must be accompanied by a parent or official guardian. Everyone paying needs to present the credit card used and a matching government-issued photo ID at check-in.
Can I smoke at an Oceana resort?
No. All of our resorts are strictly non-smoking, indoors and out — that includes guest rooms, balconies, pool decks and common areas, and it covers cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, vaporizers and smokeless tobacco. Violations bring a cleaning fee and can end the stay.
Which resort should I book?
Start with the trip rather than the property. Bringing a dog points to Ocean Park Resort; a family beach week with breakfast included points to Carolinian Beach Resort; a spa-centred, upscale stay points to Anderson Ocean Club and Spa; a long stay or a group with mixed needs points to The Patricia Grand.
