Carolina Opry Christmas Special – The Christmas Show of the South

A holiday tradition for almost 30 years, The Carolina Opry Christmas Special is brimming with music, comedy, and dance, and this year’s show promises surprise cast members! Known as “The Holiday Show of the South,” it is at the top of every Myrtle Beach Holiday must-see list. The theatre is also decked out with 35 Christmas trees, 75 wreaths, and over five miles of light strands! Alabama Theatre – The South’s Grandest Christmas Show

Voted Myrtle Beach’s #1 Holiday Show, the Alabama Theatre presents The South’s Grandest Christmas Show. This year’s Christmas extravaganza combines talent, scenery and special effects to produce a spectacular holiday musical experience. The South’s Grandest Christmas Show is a southern family tradition on the Grand Strand for visitors and locals alike. Pirates Voyage Christmas Show

Christmas at Pirates Voyage takes guests on a voyage with Captain Scrooge and the mystical Spirit of Christmas as they travel to the past, through the present, and into the future of Buccaneer Bay. From November 6th, 2014 through January 3rd, 2015 families will watch in awe as Christmas toys come to life before their eyes, performing amazing acrobatics high overhead. The show is topped off with a four-course holiday feast, featuring Buccaneer bread, a roasted half chicken, barbecued pork, corn on the cob, mashed and flogged taters, and apple pie. Dickens Christmas Show & Festivals

For folks who love to get into the holiday spirit without being confined to their seats, The Dickens Christmas Show & Festivals is a unique event comprised of a multitude of shopping and entertainment options. The cornerstone of the event is a Victorian Holiday Marketplace held in the giant. exhibit hall of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Here, against a Victorian Holiday background, explore amidst the hundreds of period-dressed vendors selling everything from jewelry, gifts, toys, arts and crafts, gourmet foods, holiday dĂ©cor and much more. There is really is something here for everyone on your holiday shopping list. In addition to the many vendors, strolling Victorian Musicians, Tea Leaf Readers, Punch & Judy Shows, shadow box displays, a life-sized historic “Santa through the Ages” exhibit and a real live Santa, contribute to the incredible holiday spectacle – not to mention the elaborate displays of trees, Wreaths and other decorations to experience too! Nights of a Thousand Candles

From December 4th-20th, head to Brookgreen Gardens in Murrell’s Inlet after dark and enjoy the Nights of 1000 Candles. Stroll amid the soft glow of more than 5,500 hand-lit candles and countless sparkling lights from 3:00-10:00 PM. Walk the paths with a warm cup of cider, hear the sounds of hand bells ringing, carolers singing, and celebrate the season with family and friends. This annual event has become a holiday tradition when the gardens become a wonderland of lights and candles and outstanding entertainment. Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland

Want to enjoy some holiday sights during your beach vacation, but worried you don’t have time? Your family can enjoy Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland, an amazing light display, without leaving your car (but there is plenty to explore if you do). Known as the “world’s largest drive-through, fully synchronized, LED Christmas light and music show”, this show is a highlight of the Christmas season. Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland is located at TicketReturn.com Field (home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball team) at 1251 21st Avenue N. The light display is open from November 7, 2014 – January 4, 2015 from dusk until 10:00 PM every night, and later on weekends. Outside of your vehicle, you can visit Santa’s Village where you can get photos taken with Santa, ride ponies or camels, and roast marshmallows.
